Does anyone know of the possibility of combining a shower and an infrared sauna?

I would add some type of infrared sauna lamps / Panels in the shower big enough to walk. Everyone knows about this? I do not know if it is possible, feasible, safe and comfortable ... Regards, Andy

The combination of infrared sauna panels in the shower is not the best idea. These panels use energy far infrared, so you have to be protected by a GFI circuit, which is not cheap. You must obtain a surface temperature high enough to emit infrared, to find a way to install a water test will be a challenge. They are also designed to be used dry, so I'm not sure what the humidity might do for them. It would be much easier to put in a steam generator and the wall or floor radiant heat to give a steam bath in the Roman style. Even putting in a traditional Finnish sauna stove type with less of a challenge. I guess if you really wanted to go there, and shower was big enough to fix, you can make an infrared sauna-style bed.
