Lamp Appliance Timer
Do all the appliances use electricity when turned off?
I was told that all the devices power consumption even when are off. Please explain how. I'm not talking about a refrigerator, television or computers or instant "Standby" mode or devices have counters time or internal circuits that are still in operation. I wonder how a simple electric toaster and can opener, or a lamp plugged into the outlet, can consume energy when not in use. Using the initial logic to disconnect everything but would also use it to unscrew all the bulbs in the house and disconnect the doorbell. My knowledge of the electrical circuit is not complete if the power is on. Turn left that result. Therefore, do not use electricity.
You're right, they are wrong. This can be checked with a device Kill-O-Watt that measures watts used, or a multimeter, if you are placed on its use. As you mentioned, anything with a remote control still uses electricity. Overall, not as much as actually used when "one" but always using electricity.
